Absolut has spent over a century building one of the world's most recognised spirits brands — defined not just by its vodka, but by a consistent commitment to craft, creativity, and cultural relevance. This project was an opportunity to push our 3D skills further: exploring advanced ice simulation, physically accurate materials, and cinematic lighting in service of a brand that demands visual excellence.
The key challenge was scale diversity — shards needed to read convincingly from large fractured chunks down to fine chipped debris. A frost gradient building toward the bottle gives the composition depth and reinforces the tactile coldness of the scene.
Getting a material to look passable is straightforward. Getting it to look genuinely real takes a different kind of attention — to the way light scatters through frosted glass, the micro-variation in ice surfaces, and the quiet interplay between reflections. This is that kind of work.
